How it works

  • We work with you to design a two- to four-week ‘bootcamp’ that provides your new staff with the foundational knowledge and skills to commence work in your organisation
  • We work with you to recruit and select your students and future staff through information sessions and interviews
  • We put the selected candidates through our co-designed pre-employment ‘bootcamp’
  • Students commence work with you while simultaneously completing their Certificate 3

Overview

This course is full-time, in person over 3 weeks (15 days). Days 1 to 5 include key accreditations in First Aid, Manual Handling and Infection Control. Days 6 to 15 consist of knowledge development sessions in the morning, and practical development sessions in the afternoon.

Pathways in Individual Support

The CHC33015 – Certificate III in Individual Support provides you with the qualifications and expertise to work in the growing disability care industry. Our graduates emerge with the required skills, knowledge and practical work experience to care for and support clients in a variety of settings.

Study Pathways

The Community Services Training Package promotes continued development of workers through attainment of higher-level qualifications. Pathways can go via both the Vocational and Higher Education sectors. Students can pathway into courses such as Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate IV in Ageing Support and Diploma of Nursing.

Course Units

This course is made up of 15 units of competency (9 Core units and 6 electives). Elective units have been selected based on industry consultation, our experience, knowledge and what employers and the industry are looking for.

Recognition of prior learning

If you have existing knowledge or skills relating to the requirements of this course you can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL). RPL may be granted for knowledge or skills obtained through prior education, training, work and life experiences.

RPL Fees start at $500.00 per unit

 

Credit Transfer

If the student has a prior Qualification or a Statement of Attainment issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework from any state or territory, the RTO will automatically give exemptions for those units of competency provided they are current. Credit transfer will be provided on the student record.
